How do I make a reservation for a rental car?

You can make a reservation through this website or send us an e-mail. You can also contact us at the following numbers: Den Haag Binckhorstlaan 130, +31(0)70 380 90 94 or in Delft Yperstraat 12, +31 (0)15 212 14 19.

What are the prices for renting a car?

Our rates for renting a passenger car start at € 33,- a day. Our prices include V.A.T. and insurance. Only the fuel costs are additional. (Minivans (9-seaters) can be driven 100 kilometers a day, for every additional kilometer we charge an extra € 0,30

What are the minimum age requirements for renting a car?

Drivers need to be at least 21 years old and be in possession of a valid driving license for a minimum of 1 year. For minivans the driver need to be at least 23 year old.

What are the driving license requirements?

A driving license should be valid for at least 1 year. Driving licenses in non-Western language should be accompanied by an international driving license in Western language.

What is Köhler Autoverhuur delivery policy?

Köhler Autoverhuur delivers rental cars at Amsterdam Airport or Rotterdam Airport upon request (24 hour service).

We also deliver cars to every hotel within the South-Holland region.

The price for the delivery and return service is € 50,-.

For delivery or return between 10.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. an extra fee of € 50,- will be charged.

The delivery-service applies to a minimal rental period of 7 days.

For a rental period of less than 7 days, cars can only be collected from one of our city offices.

If you wish to make use of the delivery-service, please mention this while making the reservation.

Does Köhler Autoverhuur have a service desk at the Airports?

No, Köhler Autoverhuur only has two offices located in The Hague and Delft.

AutoRent Kohler delivers rental cars at Amsterdam Airport or Rotterdam Airport upon request (24 hour service).

What constitutes a rental day?

A rental day is equal to a calendar-day. The first and last days of the rental period will be considered as a full rental day.

What do I pay when I collect the car?

The rental payment is made in advance, the rate depends on the number of rental days. If you make a reservation through our website you will directly be able to view the price. Please note that deposits can only be made by credit card.

Can I make the deposit in cash?

No, deposits can only be made by credit card, cash deposits are not accepted.

Is only the leaseholder allowed to drive the rented car?

Yes. The leaseholder is not allowed to sublease the rented car in any way to a third party without the written confirmation of the rental company. Should the leaseholder be in violation of this rule, he/she will be made liable to any sustained damage.

Am I allowed to take the rented car abroad?

Yes, you are required to inform Köhler Autoverhuur of this when you make the reservation. However, Turkey, Morocco and the former Eastern bloc countries are excluded as our insurance does not cover these countries. Should the leaseholder still be found driving in these countries, he/she will be made liable to any sustained damage..

What happens in case of damage or car trouble?

All of our cars are equipped with an emergency notification card. On this card you will find the appropriate phone numbers for you to notify us of your troubles. We will make sure you will be on your way as soon as possible.

Is the rented car fully insured?

All of our rented cars are covered by third-party insurance. The leaseholder is liable to pay the first €200,- (for vans this is €250,-) per incident. Furthermore, we will hold the leaseholder liable to all sustained damage in case of foul play, excessive alcohol indulgence or negligence.

Are the passengers insured?

An additional insurance can be taken out for passenger vans. This will cost €3,00 per van per day.

Is the car equipped with a navigation system?

Navigation systems are available for hire separately.

Can I hire a baby or children’s seat?

Baby and children’s seats are available for hire separately.

Where and when do I return the rented car?

The rental car can be returned up to half an hour before closing time or no later than the morning after the last rental day between 08.00 am and 8.15 am.

Does Köhler Autoverhuur supply snow chains?

Yes, we offer snow chains for the 9-person vans and for some of our passenger cars

Is it obligatory to have snow tires while driving abroad?

Due to the significant differences in liability regulation in the ski resorts abroad, we refer you to the ANWB website for the most up-to-date information.

The vans and a limited number of passenger cars come with snow tires from 1 December until 31 March.

{slider Can I rent a car with a tow bar?}

We offer a limited number of cars with a tow bar. For these cars, a driving license B - E is obligatory.

Yes, If you choose to go with our delivery and return service you can return the car at both our offices.
